Downloading IAEA Publications

Please, note that:

all IAEA publications available in electronic form in this Web Site for downloading are free of charge;

the prices mentioned in this Web Site refer to IAEA publications in paper form or as CD-ROM;

IAEA publications in paper form or as CD-ROM can be ordered here;

the size of every file of any publication available in electronic form in this Web Site is given in kilobytes (KB). Some of these files are very large. It is therefore necessary to have a fast Internet connection.
To make it easier for you to download these large files, some of them have been cut into smaller files linked together through a start-page. In these cases, the size of the file given for the respective publication refers to the size of the start-page only.

all IAEA publications available in electronic form in this Web Site are in PDF-format. It is therefore necessary to have Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it free of charge from the Adobe Web Site: http://www.adobe.com/;

if you have the Plug-in that connects MS Internet Explorer or Netscape with Acrobat Reader, you will be able to open the file directly from your browser by clicking on the "Full-text"-link without first having to download it. But if you click on the "Full-text"-link and get an empty page, then you don't have this Plug-in and have to first download the file following the instructions of the next point;

a faster download is achieved by first downloading the file and then opening it with Adobe Acrobat Reader as follows:

1 go to the page where the link to the book is:
(for example: http://www-pub.iaea.org/MTCD/publications/series1.asp)

2 (for example, in the case of tecdoc-1048) after "Go to number", type: 1048;

3 click on:

4 in the next page, place your mouse (don't click!) on the blue-link "Full-Text". While holding your mouse over this link, click on the right-hand-side button and choose Save Target As... (in MS Internet Explorer) or Save As... (In Netscape), choose a directory to save the file and save it there;

5 only then (not before!) you should open the file with Acrobat Reader.
