Research activities:
Basic mechanism of plasma production, heating and current drive in low aspect ratio toroidal plasmas are investigated using the LATE (Low Aspect ratio Toroidal Experiment) device. Plasma is produced and maintained by RF power at the electron cyclotron frequency without ohmic heating power.
