Research activities:

1. Low temperature plasmas
   Diagnosis, modelling and development of low temperature plasmas for industry: pulsed, DC and RF magnetron sputter sources, dust in magnetrons, code modelling of magnetrons, tailored plasmas for polymer surface modification and life-science applications, atmospheric pressure plasma microwave sources, plasma chemistry
2. High temperature, magnetically confined plasmas
   Equilibrium and stability of high temperature, magnetically confined plasma, heating and particle acceleration during magnetic reconnection, theory of solar coronal heating, spheromaks and spherical tokamaks, transport barriers and intermittent transport processes
3. Interaction of hot plasma with cold gas and solid targets
   Plasma-neutral gas interactions: steady-state non-equilibrium plasma, recombination, plasma-surface interactions in fusion devices
