Sandstone - Roll Front

Geological Setting

Lithology: Tertiary sediments (Frome Embayment) overlying the western flank of Mount Painter Inlier. Sediments include sandstone and sedimentary breccias with granite blocks ranging in size up to several metres. Tectonics: Faulting of sedimentary sequence eg. Poontana Fault Zone west of Beverley deposit. Vertical movement along fault zones occurred during sedimentation. Alteration: oxidation Hostrock Age: ?Tertiary

Age of Mineralization

?Tertiary

Mineralization

Ore Mineralogy: Coffinite, with minor uraninite. Mineralization Description: Mineralisation in basal sediments overlying basement granitic and metamorphic rocks of Mount Painter Inlier Ore Controls: stratigraphic, geochemical

MetallogenicAspects

U derived from weathering of hematite granite breccias and Proterozoic granitic rocks of the Mount Painter Inlier.
