Geological Setting |
The two main deposits are located to the west part of the Stephano-permian Bourbon-l Archambault basin. Main characteristics of the deposits : - depth of 0 to 50m, - low grade (0.01 to 0.05%, maximum 0.11% for Lombre), - tonnages from a few tenth of tonnes to 900 t for Lombre, - mineralisation : coffinite, little pitchblende, some U-C products, - in relation with organic matter rich levels, - some deposit correspond to syn to diagenetic preconcentrations (Lower Autunian), some are epigenetic, with oxido-reduction fronts in Upper Autunian formations. | ||
