General Remarks |
5 main deposits were mined in the Vendée District : L'Ecarpière, La Chapelle Largeau, La Commanderie, Le Chardon and Pen ar Ran, producing 12338 t uranium. They are described as individual deposits. Several other small deposits (about 25) were also mined (mainly open pits, but also underground) with a total production of 2132 t. The main one are Baconnière (378 t), La Dorgissière (293 t), Braudière (200 t), Basse Boissière (184 t), La Racine (177 t), Le Tail (174 t), La Prée (171 t), Anjougerie (148 t), Poitou la Gabrielle (48 t), Les Mortiers (41 t). |
