Geological Setting |
Uranium mineralisation occurs within a serie of sediments which are part of the Upper Karoo Basin. Five different sediment sequences (F1 to F5) have been defined. Mineralisation occurs in two layers which are generally parallel to the boundaries between the sequences. The thickest, most consistent and highest grade mineralisation in the lower layer within the F2 sequence. Mineralised thickness can reach up to 17m. Three deposits have been defined to date (2008) : Njame North (2300t), Njame East (375t) and Njame Central (325t°; | ||
