Abstract. The effect of a steady toroidal field (TF) on rotating magnetic
field (RMF) current drive, the interaction of neutral beams with Field
Reversed Configurations (FRC) and the relaxed (minimum dissipation) states
of tokamaks sustained by helicity injection are studied.
