Research activities:
Research activities of the Laboratory for X-ray Physics include:

R&D of diagnostic techniques with high temporal, spectral and spatial resolution applicable to astrophysics, thermonuclear fusion and other hot plasma research, VUV and X-ray lasers, X-ray and non-linear optics. Diagnostics recently developed and under further development include optical complex interferometry, X-ray optical systems, X-ray spectrometers and X-ray detectors. Generation, collimation, imaging and detection of soft X-rays.

Research activities of the Laboratory for Information Physics include:

  1. Computational physics of high energy densities: theory and simulation of interaction of powerful ultrashort laser pulses with matter, atomic and radiation physics of systems with high energy density, theoretical and computational support for PALS experiments.
  2. Development of new methods for computational physics: application of computer algebra and other information technologies to support theoretical studies, numerical simulation and automatic programming for the study of systems with extreme parameters.
