Abstract. The main feature of the H-mode obtained on T-10 under ECRH (with
HF power absorbed in the plasma
Pab = 0.8MW) is the
spontaneous density
increase at
D
intensity decrease (up to 4 times). This
rise is the
result of electron transport barrier formation in a narrow region (
rH
3cm) near the limiter. Confinement enhancement
in H-mode up to
=
/
1.6 - 1.7 in
general is the result of
dependence. The
thermal transport barrier contribution to total confinement enhancement is
small. Threshold power
PthLH does not contradict ITER
scaling. Maximal
values are achieved at low
qL
2.2, i.e. the dependence
PthLH(qL)
exists under T-10 conditions. The results of the radial electric field and
turbulence measurements are discussed.
