Research activities:
Theoretical and numerical analysis of MHD equilibrium and stability in application for the multiple mirror fusion concept and gas dynamic plasma confinement. One more application of this activity is developed for the physics of 14 MeV neutron generator designed for the material testing of the elements of a fusion reactor. Instabilities caused by the axial shear of plasma rotation and distortion of magnetic surfaces due to the intensive neutral injection are being studied as well. Other fields of interests are related to the general plasma physics. It includes small gas discharge experiment performed for the industrial applications, space plasma physics, wake-field and partical beam interaction, free electron laser.
