Research activities:
Surface studies related to fusion reactor materials - plasma wall interaction.

• Photoelectron spectroscopy studies of first wall materials from the fusion facility TCV (CRPP, Lausanne, Switzerland). This includes the graphite wall tiles and boronization samples
• Laboratory scale experiments in an ultrahigh-vacuum chamber attached to a photoelectron spectrometer. In situ studies with respect to the reactivity of potential low-Z oxygen gettering first wall materials. Experiments concerning growth, erosion, and redeposition of high-Z compounds.
