Research activities:
Fusion Plasma Physics:

• Theoretical and computational studies of electrostatic turbulence and turbulent transport in magnetized fusion plasmas.
• Research and development of new laser-based diagnostics with increased spatial resolution for studies of turbulent density fluctuations in fusion plasmas.
• Theoretical and experimental studies of plasma turbulence in stellarators (in collaboration with IPP Garching and IPP Greifswald).

Fusion Technology:
Experimental and theoretical investigations of the effects of irradiation on the microstructural evolution and on the physical and mechanical properties of materials such as copper- and iron-based alloys relevant to the Next Step, the Long-Term and Underlying Fusion Technology Programme.
