Surface physics laboratory has become a national key laboratory and the combination of Accelerator laboratory and Laser physics laboratory constitutes another national key laboratory for materials modification by ionic, molecular and laser beams. Applied ion beam physics laboratory is also a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education.
