Research activities:
The research developed in the Physique Statistique et Plasmas group at the Université Libre de Bruxelles is devoted to various aspects of the modelling and the theoretical description of fluids and plasmas. The main areas studied are: i) stochastic modelling, ii) Hamiltonian description of magnetic field configurations, iii) modelling and numerical methods for hydrodynamic and MHD turbulence, iv) plasma kinetic theory, v) description of the effects of plasma radiations on materials and vi) mathematical techniques relevant to plasmas. Our group also participates actively in the JET programme.
