The J-PARC, which has being constructed jointly by Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and High Energy Accelerator Research Institute (KEK) since April 2001, has started user operation in December 2008 and completed the construction of its Phase I facilities, The JPARC consists of three accelerators; Linac, 3GeV synchrotron and 50GeV synchrotron, and three experimental facilities; Materials & Life Science Facility (MLF), Hadron Facility and Neutrino Facility. Those experimental facilities uses secondary particles from high energy high intensity proton beam such as muons, neutrons, K-mesons and neutrinos. The operation status and the scientific applications which will be conducted using those secondary particles are overviewed.
