This publication outlines the key management attributes and characteristics for the successful implementation, review and continuous improvement of an operating experience programme at a nuclear utility company and individual nuclear power plants. It was developed to support successful management of an operating experience programme, various requirements of which are set forth in the IAEA Safety Requirements No. NS-R-2, Safety of Nuclear Power Plants: Operation. Implementation of these best practices will enable nuclear installations and related institutions to successfully strengthen and enhance their operating experience feedback process.
