Application of radioisotopes has shown significant growth in the past decade, and a major factor contributing towards this growth is the availability of a large number of cyclotrons dedicated to the production of radioisotopes for medical applications. Although there are many articles in journals on production of different radioisotopes, there has been no single source of information that can be readily referred to for the production of different isotopes that are of current interest. This publication contains radioisotope decay and production details of 49 isotopes that can be prepared using cyclotrons. The introductory chapter discusses the principles of radioisotope production using cyclotrons, and the publication contains data on nuclear decay characteristics such as half-life, mode of decay, energy and abundance, nuclear reactions and excitation functions of the selected isotopes.
