The Safety Guide highlights the important elements of effective management in relation to nuclear safety, quality assurance, the management of radioactive waste and radiological protection, and in meeting the associated national regulatory requirements. It recommends how to meet the requirements established in Safety Standards Series No. NS-R-2, Safety of Nuclear Power Plants: Operation.
