Proceedings of a symposium, Vienna, 1–5 September 1986. The symposium gathered together specialists from developed and developing countries to discuss problems involved in radiotherapy in developing countries, including the lack of facilities, aggravated by a severe shortage of drugs, and ways of improving the situation. The symposium was the first major meeting of its kind to take stock of the prevailing situation and to assess the magnitude of the various problems.
