Research activities:
We are interested in Intense Pulsed Ion Beams and High Power Pulsed Gas Lasers under the cooperation with several organizations in Japan and in the world (Osaka University, Sandia National Laboratories, Karlsruhe University, Polish Optoelectronics Laboratory and IAEA). The following research subjects are investigated with the use of pulsed ion beam generators, high power pulsed gas lasers, and many pulsed power apparatuses.

  1. Production and diagnostic of pulsed ion source relevant to inertial fusion energy
  2. New material synthesis with pulsed ion beams including thin film formation
  3. Interaction of pulsed gas laser light with target and the application
  4. Pulsed power application for elements of inertial fusion reactor design and environmental subject solution.
