Research activities:
The main purpose of the Department of Fusion Science, School of Mathematical and Physical Science of GUAS is to educate graduate students for plasma physics, confinement physics, fusion technology, and other related fields. There are two courses in the Department of Fusion Science:

  1. Fusion System Course, which includes device system, research operation, plasma diagnostics, and plasma heating, and
  2. Fusion Simulation Course, which includes plasma simulation, particle simulation, and MHD simulation.
All the students of the Department study at the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) under the guidance of the NIFS staff listed above. The activity other than education is collaborations with other departments. The collaboration research is in progress on the complexity science.
