Research activities:
Employing three major crossed-beams facilities, including experiments at heavy-ion storage rings, fundamental processes in electron-ion, photon-ion, and ion-ion collisions are investigated:

1. Electron-ion collisions: cross section measurements for ionization of multiply-charged ions by electron impact, recombination of ions with electrons, electron scattering, collision spectroscopy
2. Ion-ion collisions: cross section measurements for e.g., electron transfer, ionization, transfer-ionization, detachment, etc.
3. Photon-ion collisions: photoionization of ions.
