Research activities:
Experiments: Anomalous energy and particle transport, micro-turbulence properties and control; atmospheric plasma generation and diagnostics; basic plasma experiments (nonlinear dynamics, nonneutral plasmas, wave propagation in non-uniform dusty plasmas, etc.); low-frequency wave-plasma interactions (Ion Bernstein Waves & Alfvén Waves); thin film deposition and surface modification by low pressure discharges; thermal plasma applications; Thomson scattering diagnostics of laser plasmas.

Theory: Anomalous transport and MHD instabilities; dusty plasmas; laser-plasma interactions; nonlinear phenomena in plasmas; plasma simulation.

Tokamak: KT-5C Tokamak (R=32.5cm, a=9.5cm; Bt=5kG; Ip=20kA).
