Research activities:
Experimental, theoretical and numerical studies of femtosecond-to-nanosecond high intensity laser interaction with plasma - optical field ionization; parametric instabilities; fluctuations and transport in plasmas; xuv radiation (harmonic generation and recombination); ''fast ignitor'' physics (laser propagation, absorption, conversion to fast electrons/ions and transport, ultra-high magnetic field generation); plasma diagnostics (optical and x-ray emission and scattering).
