Research activities:
The plasma physics group is involved in research on tunable gyrotrons (Brand), plasma processing in microwave and helicon wave sources (James, Khachan, Falconer), electrostatic confinement using spherical grids (Khachan) and laser diagnostics (James, Falconer). The latter activities are centered around the H-1 heliac, the National Facility located in Canberra.
